Guarantee

• The Tip Top Kitchens Guarantee covers faulty materials or workmanship – Please see the respective timescales. 

  This excludes products that have been subject to misuse, damage, neglect or general wear and tear.

  
  Concerning Kitchen, Bedroom or Furnishings Resprays – 10 Years

   

  • All items removed i.e. cabinet doors, drawer fronts, applicable accessories etc, are prepped, treated if applicable, primed and resprayed in a water-based wood finish spray paint, made to order and is a representation of the applicable Farrow & Ball (or alternative range / colour-match) colour selected.

  All hand painting is completed in situ and carried out using the same water-based paints according to colour choice.

  Variations in colour are occasionally applicable due to such and it is in our best efforts that these are assessed before works are carried out. Colour matches similarly, may be subject to marginal difference.

  • Solid wood cabinet doors are naturally prone to movement as a result of moisture and temperature changes, we do aim to make all customers aware that colour choice can affect the visibility of this movement and where applicable mean will be taken to disguise the appearance of seams and panel separation but is potentially not a long term solution to the issue.
  • Laminated doors, Shaker specifically, may have a center panel that requires filling or gluing down for security. With this in mind, the appropriate steps are taken to aid this and make these good – filling may well be necessary in order to fill the gap from the center panel to the rail.
  • With regards to cleaning we recommend warm soapy water – DO NOT USE – Acetone, Jiff, Bleach or chemical based cleaners or abrasive implements.
  • In the event of a sprayed product being returned, a sound door may be requested to ensure a colour match is performed, as all colours are being developed and improved upon constantly by manufacturers.
  • We will aim to refit all doors and drawer fronts and align such to the best of our ability, however any that were originally troublesome may not be able to be made perfect. If replacement products such as hinges are required, we will communicate this and these may be charged to the account.
  • Only products sprayed by Tip Top Kitchens are covered by this guarantee and we therefore may refer problems arising from other goods supplied to the appropriate manufacturer. (e.g. – appliances, sinks, taps lighting, etc.).

All other jobs – Worktops, New Doors etc. – 12-Month Workmanship or Respective Manufacturers

• In many cases goods or materials supplied by various manufacturers will require referral back to the appropriate manufacturers directly. This information will be supplied and/or on request.
  • G all appliances will be referred back to the appropriate manufacturer as they will deal directly with all concerning guarantees and warranties. Please be aware that beyond the specified warranties available from the point of purchase by TTK or customers themselves if the product was supplied for fitting. It is the responsibility of our customers to apply for or take up extended warranties or insurances on their new appliances.
  • Worktops and new doors in many cases are subject to primarily our 12-Month Workmanship Warranty in which the fitting of such or repairs can be reviewed and undertaken by TTK if any issues were to arise. A review would be undertaken to specify the steps required. Following an agreement TTK will make all of the necessary arrangements for any remedial work to be carried out at a mutually convenient time
  • Care and Maintenance information can be provided as per the products used. Or equally can be found the respective literature on our website.
    • Worktops (Laminate) many of which are accustom to a Lifetime guarantee by the manufacturer, providing the product can be shown to have failed by reason of defects in its manufacture, subject to fair wear and tear, provided the product has been installed and used in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions and that the products are used for their intended purpose.

General Concerns

• To improve our service, it may be necessary for us to make an inspection of any complaint. In most cases we would require detailed photographs showing the problem areas.
• Upon completion of projects, any discrepancies we ask are brought to the attention of staff as soon as possible and best efforts will be made to rectify these in a timely manner (subject to lead times etc. if materials are required)
• Following an agreement TTK will make all of the necessary arrangements for any remedial work to be carried out at a mutually convenient time. These works are normally carried out Monday – Friday between 8am and 4pm.
• Minor complaints such as door / drawer realignment are not covered by the guarantee and are the responsibility of the customer. However, will do our best to help in any situation so please get in touch.
• We will aim to refit all doors and drawer fronts and align such to the best of our ability, however any that were originally troublesome may not be able to be made perfect. If replacement products such as hinges are required, we will communicate this and these may be charged to the account.
